Gift Voucher Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance

  • Purchase or use of a Galle Face Hotel Gift Card constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

2. Validity

  • Gift Cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated.
  • Expired Gift Cards cannot be extended or revalidated.

3. Redemption

  • Gift Cards may be redeemed towards accommodation, dining, and beverages at the Galle Face Hotel.
  • Redemption is subject to availability and advance reservations where applicable.
  • Gift Cards must be presented at the time of payment.
  • Gift Cards may only be redeemed in Sri Lankan Rupees up to the available balance.

4. Excluded Services

Gift Cards cannot be used for:

  • Third-party operated services or concessions within the hotel.
  • Purchases of additional gift cards.
  • Deposits where specifically excluded by the hotel.
  • Events

5. Non-Refundable

  • Gift Cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash, except where required by applicable law.
  • No refunds will be issued for unused balances.
  • Gift Cards cannot be returned once purchased.

6. Partial Redemption

  • If the purchase exceeds the Gift Card value, the balance must be settled using another accepted payment method.

7. Lost, Stolen or Damaged Cards

  • Gift Cards should be treated like cash.
  • Lost, stolen, damaged, altered or unauthorized Gift Cards will not be replaced or refunded.
  • The Hotel has no obligation to verify the identity of the person presenting the Gift Card for redemption.

8. Promotional Gift Cards

  • Complimentary or promotional Gift Cards may carry separate terms, restrictions and validity periods.

9. Reservations

  • Accommodation, dining and experiences remain subject to availability.
  • Reservations are recommended and should mention Gift Card usage at the time of booking.

10. Cancellation Policy

  • Hotel cancellation policies apply to all reservations made using a Gift Card.
  • Cancellation fees, where applicable, may be deducted from the Gift Card value.

11. Transferability

  • Gift Cards may be gifted or transferred to another person.
  • Once redeemed, the hotel is not responsible for unauthorized use.

12. Commercial Use

  • Gift Cards may not be resold without prior written authorization from Galle Face Hotel.

13. Fraud

  • Galle Face Hotel reserves the right to refuse, suspend, cancel or deactivate any Gift Card where fraud, unlawful activity, tampering, alteration or misuse is reasonably suspected.

14. Liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Galle Face Hotel’s total liability arising out of or in connection with any Gift Card shall not exceed the remaining balance of the applicable Gift Card.

15. Changes to Terms

  • Updated Terms & Conditions will be published on the Galle Face Hotel website and shall apply from the date of publication.

16. Governing Law

  • These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
